About Rubi Burke
Rubi has worked for small businesses for the past decade, developing an affinity for helping them grow and thrive. Since 2003, the width and breadth of her background in bookkeeping are supported by working in a wide range of industries, from nonprofit nursery schools and educational communities to catering/hospitality services, online entrepreneurs, life and business coaches, interior designers, medical doctors, and musical organizations.
Before bookkeeping, her first career was in market research. She worked with GIS (geographic information systems) and demographic data to support sales and marketing teams at Daily News of Los Angeles, Pepperdine University’s School of Business and Management, and Southern California Gas Company. She has a B.A. in Geography/GIS from Cal State University, Northridge, and has done graduate work in education at Pepperdine University’s Graduate School of Education and Psychology. Rubi enjoys being a life-long learner, pursuing personal growth, reading mysteries and reference books, crafting, and gathering with friends.
